G-FORCE
DVD release date: December 15, 2009
Blu-ray version (some materials may not appear on the DVD version)

The latest action packed DVD from Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, has nary a band of pirates to be found, but stars a gaggle of guinea pigs, who are top-secret, highly trained super spies, assigned to stop a dastardly plot to take over the world. With CGI rendered rodents as the stars of this film, it's kind of like G.I. Joe meets Santa Buddies.

This DVD has plenty of interesting behind the scenes BONUS FEATURES to uncover:

CINE-EXPLORE WITH DARWIN, BLASTER & THEIR CREATOR is a commentary track but takes advantage fo the Blu-ray format to deliver pop-ups and additional behind the scenes video footage.

Okay, rodent soldier, BLASTER’S BOOT CAMP (4 min.) brings you to orientation and trains you how to be the G-Force’s newest recruit. It’s a video, narrated by Blaster, but using mainly clips from the film.

In G-FORCE MASTERMIND (4 min.), director Hoyt Yeatman explains how the movie came to be, and that the “mastermind” behind the story is actually his young son who came up with the concept. He also does a couple voices in the film, too.

BRUCKHEIMER ANIMATED ( 3 min.) is kind of a “Best of Bruckheimer CGI” and showcases some of his most impressive CGI accomplishments with footage from Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure, Pearl Harbor. With director Hoyt Yeatman, a “visual effects wiz,” this also shows how the guinea pigs were brought to life.

ACCESS GRANTED: INSIDE THE ANIMATION LAB (7 min.) goes deeper in-depth to discover the secrets behind the graphics and special effects, from initial sketches to completed performances.

G FORCE BLOOPERS (1:49) G-FARCE is a minute of silliness, from both on-camera and voice recording sessions.

There are several DELETED SCENES (6 min.). The cute, fully completed sequences are each about 30 seconds to a minute and a half.

MUSIC VIDEOS “Jump” by Flo Rida featuring Nelly Furtado, “Ready to Rock” by Steve Rushton, and “Go G-Force.”

That’s what’s on the G-Force Blu-ray fur ya.
